Article Types

1. Original Article

An original article presents a report of original research findings based on newly collected or generated data obtained through experiments, fieldwork, surveys, or other empirical research methods. Verdict: Journal of Law Science accepts original research manuscripts with a minimum length of 4.000 words and a maximum length of 8.000 words, excluding references and appendices. Although the manuscript length may increase during the peer-review and revision process, the total word count should not exceed the maximum limit of 8.000 words. Original research manuscripts should be systematically organized according to the following components:

  • Title
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Theoretical Framework/ Research Context/Concept and Theory/ Literature Review
  • Method and Legal Material
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References


2. Review Article

Article review is a systematic process of critically assessing, analyzing, and evaluating the content, quality, and scientific contribution of a scholarly work. Its primary purpose is to identify the strengths and limitations of the article, assess the validity and appropriateness of its methodology, evaluate the accuracy and reliability of its findings, and determine its contribution to the advancement of knowledge.

A review article, in contrast, synthesizes, summarizes, and critically analyzes findings from multiple previously published research studies. It does not present new primary data obtained from original experiments or fieldwork. This distinguishes a review article from an original research article, which reports the findings of original research based on newly collected or generated data from experiments, field studies, surveys, or other empirical investigations.

A review article submitted to Verdict: Journal of Law Science should contain a minimum of 4.000 words and a maximum of 8.000 words, excluding references and appendices. The manuscript should be systematically organized according to the following components:
