Policy on the Use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Technologies
It is important to emphasize that artificial intelligence (AI) is merely a tool intended to assist authors in locating references and information relevant to their research topics. However, AI must not be misused to generate entire manuscripts that falsely appear to originate from the author’s original thought. The creation of fabricated or misleading papers using generative AI is strictly prohibited (see: COPE – Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Fake Papers).
Authors are required to disclose explicitly whether generative AI or AI-assisted technologies were employed at any stage of manuscript development or writing. In line with our commitment to research integrity, Austronesian: Journal of Language Science & Literature employs Turnitin software to screen all submitted manuscripts for similarity. If the similarity index exceeds 15%, the manuscript will be returned to the author for revision.
The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of research misconduct.
