Copyright and Licensing

Authors who publish their work in Austronesian: Journal of Language Science & Literature retain full copyright of their original work. By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive, worldwide license to publish, distribute, and archive the work, including the right of first publication.

All articles published by the journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). This license allows others to share, copy, redistribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the published work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and the initial publication in the journal is acknowledged.

Any adaptations or derivative works must be distributed under the same license terms. The NonCommercial (NC) provision means that the work may not be used for commercial purposes without appropriate authorization from the copyright holder. Through this licensing arrangement, the journal supports the broad dissemination, accessibility, and reuse of scholarly works while preserving the authors’ ownership of their intellectual property.
